I haven't written in a while because nothing too exciting has been going on. We've just been busy doing our usual things. Kirsten's favorite thing in the world now is going "shopping". She usually piles a bunch of stuff from our pantry into her cart and then proceeds to pay for it on her little cash register. Being the checkout lady gets pretty old after a while...
Funny story...the other day Kirsten was brushing her teeth. She was doing her normal routine of checking herself out in the mirror, making funny faces, and barely paying attention to her task at hand. So I asked her why she always looks at herself in the mirror and she immediately said, "because I'm so beautiful". What are we teaching this girl???
(I promise I don't run around telling her she's beautiful all the time!!!)

Philly Zoo
Last Tuesday was a beautiful day so Kirsten and I decided to take a trip to the Philadelphia zoo. Kirsten absolutely loved the Gorillas. I think we watched them for about 20 minutes.
She also loved the polar bear. It was a great day to go because it wasn't hot so all the animals were out.
We had a great time until we started driving home. The Philly Zoo is the oldest zoo in America and is not in the greatest location. To get on the freeway I would have to turn left out of the parking lot, but I wasn't allowed to, so I had to turn right and then figure out a way to turn around. I was driving forever and could not find a place to turn around. Finally I'm in actual Philadelphia in West Philadelphia no less (you know where the fresh prince was born and raised). So I think I see a gas station or something to my left where I can turn around, so I turn and find that there is NOWHERE to turn around. I decided I'd turn left down a street and then make another left and I'd be back where I wanted to be. So, I make a left and the first thing I see is a cop standing outside of one of the row homes wearing a bullet proof vest. He looks at me like I must be crazy. So I'm trying to find a place to turn around. There are people on the streets who look like they're up to no good (they don't call it Killadelphia for nothing). I finally find a place to turn after passing about 5 one way streets going the wrong direction and there's a cat in the middle of this tiny road. There are people looking at me, and I'm a little scared at this point. I'm thinking, should I run over the cat and avoid having to stop in the midst of all these people or what if I do run over the cat and they try to kill me anyway. So as soon as I get up to the cat it moves, thank goodness. At this point, Kirsten is in the back seat laughing hysterically at me. I try to tell her it's not funny, but that just makes her laugh even more. After turning down a few more one way streets I finally find it, "Girard Ave". So I drive as fast as I can and I finally make it to where I'm supposed to go...this whole experience probably only lasted like 2 minutes, but those were some freaking scary 2 minutes!

More Singing
Last night we sang "I am a child of God" for Family Home Evening and Kirsten knew all the words! I couldn't believe it. I guess she learned it all in Nursery. I just thought she knew that first part. It was really cute! I'll have to take a video sometime.

Ok I guess I better do this...
Alright I was tagged forever ago and I figured I better get it over with. Post these rules of "tag" at the beginning of your blog. List 6 facts, habit or obsession about yourself. At the end of the post, you must tag 6 people and post their names.
1. FACT: I have had 11 different jobs since I was 15. What can I say, I get bored easily.
2. FACT: Jonathan and I have lived in 7 different apartments/houses in our 4 1/2 years of marriage. And we probably will be moving again in a year. On top of that, I HATE moving! Maybe eventually we'll settle down somewhere.
3. Obsession: I was thinking about this and I really should do a pre and post pregnancy version of this. I'm kind of a different person when I'm pregnant. So, before I was pregnant and since I was probably 15 I've been obsessed with health. Since being pregnant it's a little harder to be so obsessed. I'm sure I'll get back to my normal obsessed self in about 5 or 6 months from now.
4. Fact: That last one made me think of a fact...I just finished my favorite job I've ever had. I taught a class for overweight kids at the YMCA. I got to teach them about exercise and fitness and then take them through some sort of exercise routine. It was a blast!
5. Obsession: Right now I am obsessed with getting things done. We put all of our housing projects off so that we could enjoy all that the Summer and Fall had to offer out here, but now that it's FREEZING I have become obsessed with getting it all done! We just painted our family room and turned our office into more of a play room. Next is the Kitchen then babies room. I'll see how much energy I have left after that.
6. Habit: I haven't listed any habits yet. I don't really have many right now. That's another thing that's changed since pregnancy. Oh, here's a bad one. I still crack my knuckles. Not so much because it's a habit now but because they hurt if I don't. I always get mad at my little sister for cracking her knuckles because I don't want her to end up with that gross habit like me...
Ok, I hope you all enjoy that as much as I did ;). I'm not going to tag anybody else because I think just about everyone I know with a blog has already done this one. So you all are off the hook...
