Hello California!

This post is out of order we've obviously been here a while. We are here in California for a month and are loving it. Mostly because we can walk to the beach. This was our first walk to the beach the day we got here.

M&M store

I couldn't get this post to publish until today so its a little out of order.
The next day we headed to the strip to see the M&M store. It was funny walking through the casino to get their. Kirsten was very curious about the gambling machines. After I explained what they were she said, "so you put in $10 and you get $20 back??". She thought that the owners of casinos must be very generous to give away so much money. I tried to explain to her that things don't usually work out that way. Hopefully she understood that!
We walked all around the M&M store. We watched a 3d M&M movie. Kirsten and Bryce loved it. Colton thought it was scary.
Then we went next door to the Coke store and tried a bunch of different floats. The kids loved them! Even though 2 of my kids spilled them all over!! Oh well at the end of the day we were so surprised by how good the kids were! Not much complaining or begging!

The Pier

We live a couple blocks from the pier here. So we decided we'd better walk down and check it out. Colton loves chasing birds around and frequently tries to throw stuff at them so it was a bit stressful with all the birds on the pier, but it was fun to check out the water.

After walking the pier for a while we hung out at the beach.

I wanted to get a picture of Max's cute smile without his "Passee". He didn't think there was anything to smile about without that thing in his mouth. Getting rid of it is going to be fun;)
Jonathan keeps saying we need to cut his hair, but I am loving his "California do". This man at the beach was making a big deal about how awesome his hair is so maybe we'll keep it for another week or so.

Random Pics

Kirsten wanted me to take a picture of her delicious and huge apple fritter that she shared with me. We got donuts on our way to Disneyland and they were amazing!

We've gone to this park a few times. The boys love to swing. They would do it all day long. It helped that this park has a great view of the ocean!

Kirsten loves hanging out with daddy.

And she loves coloring. She's been doing a lot of that lately. Especially pictures of animals.

Disneyland!

Since deciding to go to California for the summer we have all been so excited to go to Disneyland! when the big day arrived we decided to go to California adventure first and check out the new Cars Land. It was seriously awesome! It looked just like radiator springs!
We all rode this little tractor ride which the boys wanted to go on over and over again. We decided we'd better go on one of the more popular rides before it got to busy. Max was too short so daddy took Kirsten and Colton on the new Cars racing ride while Max an I went on Luigi's tire ride. We all had long lines but loving the rides! Although Colton was a little scared because I guess the ride was pretty fast. Kirsten says that going on the cars racers was her favorite part of Disneyland.

After our ride we still had extra time  so we decided to get our picture taken with lightening McQueen. Max was a little freaked out.

We rode a bunch of rides at California adventure like the Monsters Inc ride. Max LOVES monsters so that was a fun one for him. We also rode the Ariel ride, some bugs life rides and then went on the ferris wheel. The best part was when we were on the ferris wheel Colton yelled out "we're gonna die!" He was a little scared!

And, of course, that's when my phone died.
After California Adventure we went over to Disneyland. We saw this super cute show with all the princesses singing their best songs. The kids really liked it. Then we finally rode the train which the boys had been dying to do. We were so tired at this point that we were ok riding it all the way around the park twice. I don't think we rode any other rides at Disneyland. Which is kinda crazy but the lines were so long and Max had about had enough of waiting in line.
Kirsten really wanted to watch the parade so after eating a really yummy Monte Cristo we found a spot to sit and watch and it was well worth it. That was the end of our fabulous trip to Disneyland. The kids kept asking to go back for the next few days, so I guess they had a great time!

Fruit Farm

We were so excited to get some local fruit at the farm up the road. We all agreed that it was some of the best fruit we've ever had and the kids loved playing on the tractor at the farm.
Going to the beach with daddy is lots more fun!

 The train again...

Another day at the beach

The kids definitely have mixed feelings about the beach. Max doesn't like sand on his feet, Colton doesn't like water on his feet. But they both love watching the train go by.
Kirsten loves everything about the beach except being cold. The first few times we went it was freezing so she wanted daddy to bury her to warm her up.

Las Vegas

On our way to California we stopped by Justin and Miranda's house. We were only going to be there for one night, but we decided to let Jonathan go ahead to California and we hung around for a few extra days. We were so glad we did because we had such a great time!
It was insanely hot in Las Vegas so we decided to go to a splash pad. It was awesome and the kids had a great time together. Kirsten loved playing with Bryce and Colton loved chasing them around!
