Our Washington trip in Pictures-4

Then our friends came...

Here are the guys

Here are the girls

We played lots of games, talked, ate, and the best part for me was going kayaking

We also went to deception pass

And then we had the race. Which was seriously awesome, I think we're all hooked.

That night we went to Seattle to celebrate with a great dinner.

This was such a great trip, we're so glad our friends came out to meet us out there! So, where are we going next guys?

Even though we had such a GREAT time we were so excited to get home to these two.

One of them was excited to see us...Colton didn't even remember who we are. Until the second night... he wouldn't sleep all night, he just kept waking up asking for mama.

Thanks Grandma, Papa, Geoff, Eric, Emily, and Grammy for taking care of these two crazy heads!

Well, even though it's really hard to go from this...

To this...

It is nice to be home.

Our Washington trip in Pictures-2

Then we drove to Cowiche to see my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The drive is so beautiful...

I did not take as many pictures as I should have...I don't have any of my grandma and aunts and uncles. But here are some good ones.

My grandpa has Alzheimer's. When we first got to my grandparents, he didn't even look up. Then Michael came over... Michael is my 17 year old cousin and I can't believe how amazing he is with my grandpa. He and his little brother, Nathan, have lived next door to my grandparents for their whole lives so they are experts when it comes to taking care of grandpa. Michael came over, grabbed grandpa's shoes, put them on him, and took him out to play basketball and catch. My grandpa absolutely came alive.

And then all of the sudden he seemed to know who I am. He came over to me and gave me a hug. He wouldn't let go. I love my grandpa so much. He's an amazing person and it was a little glimpse into the past...and the future

The next day we went to Church, played some Monopoly with Michael and Nathan...and then Aunt Jana, Uncle Karl, and cousin Kelly came over for some of grandma's amazing food. It was so fun to spend time with all of them. And, my grandma is the best cook in the world, so any day I get to eat her food is a good day.
Michael and Kelly playing some air hockey.

The next day grandma took us to Tieton to see where my grandpa grew up and some of the buildings his dad helped build.
Then we came back and played some tennis with Grandma.

Then we left to head back to Seattle. On our way we stopped by Aunt Jana's to see their beautiful house and their amazing cars.
I always love going to my grandparents house and spending time with my family. My grandma always takes such good care of us and we love her so much. I wish I could see them more than I do...I cannot wait to see all of them again in July!

Our Washington trip in Pictures-1

The very first thing we did was go to Alki beach, my old stomping grounds.

And home of the BEST fish and chips in the world.

The next day we went to the temple.

And then to Grease. Which was pretty awesome. Taylor Hicks made the show as the Teen Angel. (while we're on the subject of American Idol's we saw David Archuletta at the Cincinnati airport. As soon as he heard me say his name he pretty much ran away)

We made it!

Jonathan and I left the kids with their grandparents and took a trip out to Washington ALL BY OURSELVES! We met some of our best friends and had so much fun together. The main event: The North Face Endurance Challenge. We all ran the 10k, and we all survived. It was so much fun! More pictures to come.
