Summer Fun

I unloaded my phone pictures and thought I'd record some of the fun things we've done this Summer.

Blue Bell Factory

Emily went with us on a tour of the Blue Bell factory. It was fun to watch how they make ice cream, and it was really fun to eat the free ice cream at the end.

Lots of trips to Dallas for Max's appointments. Almost done though!

This house came with a pool in the backyard. Which we weren't too excited about. It's been a pain and is still not working. But the kids have had lots of fun playing in it, in it's various stages of fixing it. It was especially fun when it was almost empty and we "slip and slided".

We even got ourselves a cute new pool boy.

Last week Kirsten and I went to Discovery Land, with Grandma, Papa, and Emily, to watch the outdoor performance of Oklahoma.

Before the show starts you can ride a pony and practice roping. Then there's a little pre- performance where the performers come out and dance with the audience. This cute guy asked Kirsten to dance and she gave him a definitive "no". Emily danced with him instead. Turns out he played the scary guy, "Judd".

Our stake along with 5 other Oklahoma stakes have been practicing for months for a huge youth conference performance that took place on Friday night. Emily was in some of the 50's dances. It was awesome. The kids did so well. They acted out all the different parts of Oklahoma history with music and singing. This is the best my phone would do at capturing the moment.
