Halloween Week

Warning: this post has lots of low quality phone pictures.

We started out by going to another party at the library during story time. The kids made treat bags and went trick-or-treating to all the desks in the library.

Kirsten wore her tutu to the Y and school on Thursday. On Friday the Y had a little party for the kids.

On Thursday we went to Daddy's work for some trick-or-treating. Colton finally wore his sheep costume and amazingly enough did not pull too many cotton balls off.

Hanging out in daddy's office after.

On Friday night our friends came over to carve pumpkins.

Kirsten wanted to do it all by herself. She cleaned the pumpkin, colored a face on it and I let her carve it with a butter knife.

It actually turned out pretty awesome.

Saturday night was the ward carnival and trunk or treat. The kids ate hot dogs and played lots of carnival games. Their favorite was digging through the wheat for some treasure. I must say Halloween in Midland is kind of lame. Every church has a trunk or treat on Halloween and hardly anyone is home for trick-or-treating. But, me being the traditionalist that I am, I could not go through Halloween without trick-or-treating door to door like you're supposed to. So we walked up and down the streets around our house hitting everyone with their lights on.

And actually ended up with quite a bit of candy. The girls took the kids trick-or-treating while the boys stayed to pass out candy. Although only about 4 people came by our house. It was a great week!

So did you make the sheep? How did you get all the cotton balls on? Sam's office does trick or treating too. Glad to see other sites do it.

When I figure this camera out, I'll let you know!!! :) I think Graham will be the one who will be taking the pictures for awhile since he has more time to read about it at work. haha.
I LOVE Colton's costume! What a cute idea! Sounds like you guys got a lot of use out of the costumes with all the fun Halloween things you went to! Kirsten did a great job on her pumpkin!

Hey Jenny, thanks for your comment. I did not make the costumes this year. It was a great feeling when Ben's came in the mail, I just thought "Yes, Halloween is done!"
