Kirsten decided a few months ago that she wanted to be Layla from Teen Beach Movie. She's a biker in the movie.
The kids getting ready to go trick-or-treating.
Grammy came to see us too.
The weather was absolutely beautiful.
The kids ran from house to house in our neighborhood. Max was so adorable running along behind the big kids. After about 5 houses, Colton was ready to go home. We got him to go to a few more before everyone was done. The kids got very little candy, but they didn't care. I guess they don't take after their mother who would not go home until the pillow case was filled!
I think Max ate all his candy that night.

Halloween
Kirsten and Colton got to wear their costumes to school on Halloween. My mom made this cute wonder woman costume for Kirsten, which she loved. She wore it for dance the night before too.
Colton had to be an engineer, not a conductor, an engineer. When Max saw brother and sister wearing their costumes he wanted to join in too.
Kirsten's school had a party and a costume parade. Colton got to trick or treat to the different classrooms. He was excited because daddy was handing out candy and got to hang out with him for his party afterwards. Jonathan said one of the kid's dads at Colton's school was bald. So, Colton goes up to him and says, "hey, where did your hair go?".

Happy birthday Max!
Max turned 3 on October 17th!
He started his day with some delicious birthday cake pancakes.
He had lots of visitors too. Grandma, Geoff and Alayna were at our house so he got to hang out with them. His nursery teacher brought him a present. And his buddy, Alex, brought him a present and doughnuts! I wish I had a picture of them. Alex got Max a Nurf gun that they took turns shooting. They had so much fun playing together!
That night we ate some of max's favorite foods and had some Cars 2 cake. He had been looking at cakes for weeks before his birthday and was super excited about this one!
He got lots of awesome presents!
Max is such a funny little boy! My favorite thing he says is, "check it out," when he wants to show us something. He still loves his "paci" and "blanket". I still haven't had the heart to get rid of those. He and Colton, who he calls buddy, have a great time playing together. They can get super crazy!! He's so cute and funny and we love him to death!

The kids
Kirsten and Colton always want to hold baby Luke. Max...not so much. This is the only picture I have of him holding him but he looks pretty happy.
Colton is always saying, "I want to hold he." One day he said he wanted to lay with he. Of course he wanted a picture an then he wanted Max to lay with baby too. This was as close as Max would get.

Baby Luke
So, It's been awhile. I have a lot to catch up on, but before I do I want to write about the most important thing that has happened since I blogged last. Little Luke Enoch came into this world on October 19th!
After feeling like I was in labor for about a month (and being totally freaked out that his baby would be born in the backseat of the car) I finally felt like I should get to the hospital at about 5:00 on a Saturday morning. I was really worried that they were going to send me home, but after learning about how fast the last one was born they checked me in and let me stay! I was so excited. The nurses at Utah Valley hospital are awesome and got the epidural going really fast. After I got the epidural my contractions stopped and I was really worried that nothing was going to happen. The doctor decided they'd better break my water. Turns out it had already broken. Finally at around 11:00 the contractions picked up and an hour later he was ready.
He weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.
He was the sweetest baby that first day...hardly made a peep.
The timing was really good. My mom had come out 2 weeks earlier and was going to have to leave the next morning. So it was great that she got to hold him in the hospital at least for a little bit.
I have to write about the kids reactions to him in the hospital. My mom brought them to see him that afternoon after he was born. The kids were all really freaked out to see me in the hospital. Colton came in and said, "mom, are you hurt?". Kirsten and Max hardly said a word at first.
The best was when Colton saw the baby he was so excited. He said, "mom, can we keep him? Please, please, please?" One of my favorite Colton moments ever.
We asked Kirsten many times if she wanted to hold him, finally after the initial shock of everything wore off she decided she wanted to. From that moment she was smitten. She loves the little guy and wants to help and hold him all the time.
Max pretty much wanted nothing to do with him. The first few days were really hard on the sweet little guy. He's warning up to his baby brother though.
Luke is such a sweet little baby and we are so happy to have him in our family! More pictures to come!
